I'd be pleased to do that. Interesting to note that here in the North-East of England in the early 1960s I once came across a Spencer-West TV set with the name "Queen Bee" on it. A long way from the Midlands DFWB. |

The circuit diagram of the Spencer-West model 180.
As I wrote earlier I reckon this could well have been a decent TV set. This information comes from the 1959/60 R & T servicing book. The information about many sets was often a year late in these books so I've no idea if this set was introduced in 1958 or 1959. It would be interesting to find out if the firm made a later range of sets which employed the 110 degree CRT. For example before Masteradio closed down in 1960 or 61 the firm made a TV set which used a 110 Degree tube. The model TK7. I only saw one example of this set, that was in the late sixties. The owner didn't want it repaired so it was scrapped. DFWB. |
