Re: Cottered Workshop.....The Poll!
Booking is now closed for this workshop.
Thanks to all that have paid in advance! An addition for this workshop will be a couple of spare tables where attendees can bring their unwanted items to swap/sell/give to others - if you want to use this facility please remember that we dont want to be removing piles of unwanted gear at the end of the day - if any of you would like to see sales proceeds donated to the museum that would be fine! Also, no modern stuff please! Cheers Sean

Re: Cottered Workshop.....The Poll!
Best laid plans and all that.......
After being given express landing clearance by SWMBO I have been asked to work on Sunday so I cannot attend. Have a great day and I look forward to the next one. Steve.

Re: Cottered Workshop.....The Poll!
Ok Folks,
What are we bringing then? Is there anything that I should be bringing along that people might be needing? As Chris said we have the hall from quite early on, so we have plenty of time to play radio! Lets be hearing about some of the wonderful stuff we will be seeing Sean

Re: Cottered Workshop.....The Poll!
Pre-war GEC Fidelity 5. Been repaired in the distant past, untouched by me as yet. Needs to be made 'safe' with a new mains cable first off, as the set has a proprietary two pin power connection and I ain't not got one. Set has a Tuneon indicator which hopefully still works.
Ekco A144 Pye P45 Pye T19D possibly AVO No.2 Sig gen. Not sure it's doing what it should, though it's doing something. Andrew

Thanks Andrew, that's a great haul!

Re: Cottered Workshop.....The Poll!
My Mullard High Speed - which has developed some sort of instability, help appreciated!
Ekco AC85 - I have 1 + a spare - no idea of electronics of either. Bush VHF90A - have 3, hoping to get one working well. The item I could most love to bring is a Beau Decca radiogram. Previously done but now not performing it's best. I could fit it in and leave some of the other sets - just feels a little large to be transporting? I was going to bring some tools / meter / few capacitors etc.. I am by no means an expert and am mainly hoping to learn from others. Looking forward to it, Kneale |

Re: Cottered Workshop.....The Poll!
I'm not bringing anything, just myself! Willing to assist others with their repairs this time.
A friend is currently borrowing my laptop so I won't have that for service data. If Michael Maurice or someone else could bring along service data printing facilities that would be appreciated. If any attendees are thinking of buying the DVD-ROM and/or CD-ROM on the current special offer but haven't done so yet, let me know (by PM) and I'll bring them along. Further 10% discount for cash payments on the day. |

Re: Cottered Workshop.....The Poll!
I intend to bring,
Bush AC11 looks a wreak - probably is Cossor 470 - the rust wreak which caused much amusement last time - now works but not very lively. Kolster-Brandes BR40 - untouched for 20+ years Avo All Wave oscillator of which I know nothing. AR88D..........(plus winch and crane).......worth having a look at I think. And DAC90A See your there! TYJ

Re: Cottered Workshop.....The Poll!
Decisions, decisions!?
On the radio front, I've got a Murphy A72 that works well on short but deaf on long & med. Also an Ekco A28, looks original as found (didn't Andrewausfa fix one of these last meeting?) On the TV front, a nice little pinky Pye LV or BV 30, as found, A GEC BT1746 minus all the valves (I've got the replacements) but the all important beretta is still in place. I'll probably limit it to two of the above. Looking forward to a great day Greg
