Default Scottish meet 2014

Hi folks, I intend to have a meet at my home/workshop in Kennoway, Fife on the 21st September this year. It will be the usual buffet style lunch foc. Please feel free to bring anything you want to swap, sell or give away. Please also feel free to bring anything you want help with to repair. I am sure someone can help. Please let me know if you want to attend so I can let my wife know catering numbers. I have also posted this on the VRAT forum. Best regards, Norman.

I look forward to meeting the gang again. Sadly I missed last year's meet. But nearer the time I'll try to find out what I can usefully bring along to help with the catering.

Once again Norman and Donna treated us to a great day of nosh and natter and even laid on perfect sunny weather into the bargain. Many interesting topics were covered including Paul's personal cinema complete with proper 35mm projector and cinema seats, Norman's home made wood burning workshop stove, David's amazing transceiver which he demonstrated with built-in spectrum analysis and scope where you could watch the morse signals as well listen and Andy's Stella projection set that he has just taken delivery of, not mention the usual discussions on cars and welding. Oh, and the odd word on the referendum.

Many thanks for yet another very enjoyable day at Kennoway.

Thanks to Norman and Donna for the hospitality and to Andy for the scope.

Perfect weather, perfect company.

That most un-vintage transceiver is back in it's place on the bench and is chattering away to itself, and the homebrew ATU is due to go back up in the attic until I need it again.

Thanks, everyone,
David

Thank You indeed to Norman and family it was a great day and the weather was also excellent and of course the company.

Hamish Boxer did indeed enjoy it also despite "that look"!

The expression seems to say "where is my sausage roll"!

As I heard it, he got a sausage roll, so the expression must be "Where is my next sausage roll?"

Hamish Boxer,
there is something wrong with your camera! My hair is not that grey! Seriously, thanks for posting the pictures. It was a great day. Thanks Norman.

Could be the lighting or perhaps we do not see ourselves as others (or the camera) see's us.

Alas, I think the latter is true especially considering I get my bus pass next March.
