Default Chas Miller RIP

It is with very great sadness that I have to inform our community that Chas Miller died this morning at home.
Perhaps we could all take a few minutes out of our busy schedules to remember him, and Jo', in our thoughts and prayers.
RIP old friend.

Very sad news indeed. A unique person who did so much to share his huge knowledge and experience with the rest of us. I can truly say that we will never see his like again and he will be sorely missed by so many.
Our thoughts are with Jo and his family.
RIP Chas.

I am sure that i am not alone in saying that vintage radio has lost one of its leading lights. He was always ready to assist others in any way he could. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dean and Jo.

Very sad news.

In my teens, I got into electronics (particularly television) reading his articles in "Practical Television" and then just "Television" magazine, such as "Millers Miscellany".

Shocked and saddened at the news. I've known Chas since the early eighties when he used to help me out with my vintage TV problems. He borrowed and restored my TV22 for use on a BBC feature about the last days of VHF TV. I loved reading about his early years in the R&TV industry in Radiophile. Condolences to Jo and Dean.

That is very sad news.

He will be greatly missed for his knowledge and support to the wireless community. And for his writing style.

Condolences to Jo and family.

This is very sad and Chas God Bless was a real legend, who I have known since the early 70,s.

My condolences to Jo and all his family and many friends. RIP Chas.

PS I have Radiophile copies since No 1 when it was photo copied and it just got better over the years.

Nothing to compare to,as all the vintage magazines have there own character and none so more as Chas.

A great legacy to sadly leave.

A great chap and a really nice person with a definitely individual take on life in general. Apart from his wealth of technical knowledge and the articles he wrote in that context, his descriptions of social change and the rather clever "short" stories produced at regular intervals displayed a much wider range of talents. He overcame a number of adverse situations over the years with the constant support of his wife Jo [in addition to her somewhat iconic cover paintings so evocative of the inter-war period]. A very sad loss to us all.
