Default Model RN Radio by Delta Radio of Streatham

One of the sets I bought at the last Radiophile auction was a RN radio by Delta Radio Streatham. This Rexine covered transportable mains set appears to date from WW2 as it covers MW and 2 shortwave bands only and has Home and Forces marked on the dial, is AC/DC using Mazda Octal valves (PEN383 output) and has the appearance of a utility set although quite well constructed, no frame aerial. I was wondering if the name "RN" meant it could be intended as a welfare type receiver for naval barracks.
Has anyone any ideas about this and also has anyone heard of Delta Radio.
Mike.

With its reinforced corners and recessed knob panel the cabinet bears some resemblance to Receiver Broadcast type C No. 2 made by Decca.

I lived in Streatham for 30 years. I'd love to know where they were.

Ground floor and basement of 89 High Road, Streatham.

I wonder if that's what I remember as Streatham High, used to work there near the junction of Leigham Court road at Visionhire.

Lawrence.
