BVWS Golborne Meet, April 2015 - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

The BVWS north west spring swapmeet/jumble at Golborne, just west of Manchester, is next Sunday 12th April.

Many stalls loaded with the usual vintage goodies, sets and spares, including:
Radio
Television
Audio
Telecoms
Military
Amateur
and more.....

The BVWS stall will be there as usual, with stocks of capacitors, Deoxit, etc., and a large amount of radios and other stuff from the stores at bargain prices. Working 405 line TV display!

Hot and cold sandwiches/drinks, good parking, nice bright and spacious hall

I hope to be there - not least to complete the transactions prevented by my absence last time.

Also, don't forget that there will also be a bring and buy stall if anyone has one or two items they wish to sell rather than being able to justify their own stall. The usual arrangement is 10% of sale price goes to museum funds. Alternatively items may simply be sold as a donation to funds. Either way, please check before leaving whether they have sold, and retrieve any unsold items.

I'm expecting that my brother Phil will be driving us over but no stall this time-don't forget the name badges. It's depressing when you only "clock" who someone is just as one of you is leaving

Only been once before but certainly hoping to go on Sunday, was very good last time. A spendid opportunity for those of us in Northern climes. Also if you go early there is plenty of time to nip up the M6 and visit the radio rally in Blackpool at the Norbreck Castle Exhibition Centre as well!

I have got a ECC807 if anyone needs one. Lots of EF50s, octals, etc. USA B9Gs.
I have a HP flat bed scanner to dispose of too.

I'll be there with numerous items to deliver to their new owners and a stall to sell off some of my component surplus, mainly low voltage electrolytics, and voltage regulators.

I'll be wearing my avatar badge so come over and say hello.

Dave: if you miss Ed, I believe he sometimes visits West Cumbria, so that may provide an alternative means of getting items to him.

Well that was a really nice event again. Just back (well, ok an hour ago) and unloaded. Thanks to the organisers and nice to see some familiar faces again seeing I don't seem to get out much!
