Default RS 8 page catalogue.

I have an RS "Instruments and Scientific Calculators" catalogue. I don't know its age, but it includes an AVO 8 Mk 5 and an HP11C programmable calculator if that date it. No prices in it.
Only 8 sides, free to first one, plus 2 to cover post and packing.

HP11C.... "Woodstock" family of calculators, early 1980s

I see they've locked out more precise radiobakelite dating if you could plot it on a curve of AVO 8 prices versus time!

Maybe we'd better find someone who wants Les' catalogue...

Well, nobody yet.
I think I can give a date now you have given me clues. 1978. I had this with other stuff (some will be offered when sorted through) and I recall 1978 on some (probably) contemporaneous documents.
So, no need for the radiobakelite dating equipment.
Les.

Impossible, the HP11C is later than that.

According to Dr Mier-Jedrzejowicz's collector's guide, the HP11C was released 1st September 1981 and discontinued 1st January 1989. That should provide a range of dates for this RS catalogue.
