If you mean these (?), note that they're polarised with the wider neutral pin, and won't fit the old unpolarised sockets.

RS do a lead with an unpolarised plug <here> , correctly rated for use at 125vac as are all NEMA 1-15 connectors for reasons already stated. (Even though their insulation can withstand considerably more.)

A few minutes with a file should fix the polarisation problem.
