ZELLWEGER 50's HF Tx/Rx
Right enough, there is plenty of internet info on this portable Swiss HF Tx/Rx + PSU (SE-222 + SG-222), but I was just wondering in any Forum guys were familiar with it ?
I'm off to photograph it on Sunday. A VMARS chum has just acquired it, and need a hand with this heavy beast. It came without its interconnecting cable, so I've put out a wanted post for an Amphenol Plug & Socket. Regards, David |

Re: ZELLWEGER 50's HF Tx/Rx
As promised, some pictures. No response to my Amphenol Plug & Socket wanted post. Yep - they can still be bought online, new, but horrendously expensive.
The build quality is tremendous, as compact as an ARC52, with just as complicated multi-geared tuning, although it just an HF Tx/Rx +PSU. Regards, David |

Re: ZELLWEGER 50's HF Tx/Rx
Thanks crestavega. I'm actually helping out a VMARS chum who isn't really into Forums & such. What is needed is an Amphenol free plug 28 - 18P, and a free socket 28 - 18S. Both 12 Pin. I'm not much acquainted with Amph. connectors, but he showed me on Sunday that his Zell. equipment takes "4 spigot" bayonet connections as opposed to the more usual amph. threaded connectors. Seemingly, the basic pin/skt inserts can be shrouded in a variety of circular fixings to suit various civilian & military spec's.
Hopefully you might find something in your collection. Regards, David |
