Hello,

A friend handed me a Sony sl f1e video recorder with a tape stuck in it.
The tape was removed rather quickly.

It is a very nice machine, but has a problem.
After pressing play, rewind or wind the machine works for 2 seconds or so.
There is no picture on the screen before it shuts of again.
The capstan, tape transport, video head and pressure roller work.

When i first tried it, the would not thread in due to a shaking treading motor.
After a few tries it seems to be oke

Any suggestions?
