Logie Baird's mechanical scanning TV camera system
Hi,
I'm a TV technician and a newcomer to this forum. From 1977 until 1998 I worked at the TV facilities relay centre at Brazilian Embratel. Can anyone post a detailed drawing of Logie Baird's mechanical scanning TV camera system? I've known about a TV system converter from the 70s where the picture from PAL, for example, is captured again with an NTSC camera, although I've only seen it in photos. Thank you for your attention, Knickle. |

Re: Logie Baird's mechanical scanning TV camera system
I think the last post in this thread shows the "camera" that Baird used for the 30 line test transmissions from the BBC after hours.
http://www.taswegian.com/NBTV/forum/...d6f07ae1e6c0b1 This was a spotlight scanner where the subject is illuminated by a focused spot of light scanned from a mirror drum and the reflected light is captured by a set of moveable photocells positioned rather like a set lamps. For example a photocell positioned above the subject would give the impression of top lighting.
