Recommended Repairer for a vintage telephone (Belgian Bell)
About 5 years ago my mother bought a vintage telephone from a stallholder at an antique fair who was selling phones converted to work on a modern line.
Approx 2 years later it developed a fault and was put away. Can anybody recommend a repairer or company that deals with these? The phone is a Belgian Bell with 'RTT 56 B' marked on the base. It looks like it is from the 1930s but a bit of internet investigation suggests it is built in the 1950s. If you cannot post company details in the thread due to forum rules, please PM any recommendations or suggestions. Many thanks, Anthony |

Re: Recommended Repairer for a vintage telephone (Belgian Bell)
It's perfectly ok to post details of relevant companies, in response to a Help Request, such as these people ....... http://telephonelines.net/index.php?main_page=index who I've given as an example and may or may not be prepared to repair a European instrument.
There's plenty of help available on the forums if you wish to have a go at repairing the 'phone yourself though. Those Bell/RTT instruments are very common and thus familiar to many of us. |
