From memory there is no reset button.
Check the leads are plugged in to the connctor behind the keyboard, and at other end of the leads too. You will need a manual to figure out how to get to it. There may be video's on you tube may help.
Sadly, the processors are known for going bad in recent years.

If this is just a reset problem, remove the backup batteries which live behind the main batteries. (Thinks: I am speaking from experience of the Sat 600, but I believe the two models are more or less identical in most areas).
However, there is a well known fault caused by conductivity of the main board in the vicinity of the ON/OFF switch which may show some normal display functions, but will not allow the radio to switch on or operate. If you enter a frequency and press enter, the display will flash on and off as though an illegal frequency has been entered.
My long term owned 600 has needed the battery out "reset" twice from memory over the last 35+ years.
I have a second radio with the "Known fault" to which it did not respond to the usual fix. One day I will sit down and try to repair it properly, but they are certainly complex if you look at the circuit.
Les.

Radio has sound, stations are mixed sometimes and sound is not so good. Date and time functions works, but frequency not. It shows frequency only when you enter it, not stays on. Memories are not working.
Does it make sense to repair it?
Regards, Boris

I would try and repair it. They are excellent radios when working properly.

The Grundig 600/650 is said by many to be the best sounding portable radio bar none. I agree with that. Clarity, deep bass, full range, tonally adjustable, amazing sound. Not to mention great RF performance too.

Suddenly, when I turn on the radio this morning, everything works properly.
Does anybody knows what is the catch?
Thank you, Boris

Sounds like capacitors going to me. The power sections and main amplifier usually benefit from replacement electrolytics.

I found that there were quite a few dry joints on the main board. It's worth going over every joint to check it visually, and for sake of a second or so, re-solder it. Also, part every ribbon cable connector and plug in socket that you can see and spray with Servisol 10.

I found the following notes also useful: https://www.oocities.org/grundigradioboy/650adj.htm. It makes mention of dry joints associated with loose pot to PCB soldered joints. Scroll down the left hand side of the screen page.

Poor connections and dry joints are major areas of concern when restoring a 600/650. Check that when you plug in a mains connector that it operates the battery/mains change over switch properly (clean the contacts).
