The Process for B&B at RWB is different to Harpy and Golborne.

I have attached the labels, there is no booking in form.

Just fill in and attach the labels with a bit of tape to something that won't be damaged, when we pull the tape off.

Once sold we detach the label and that becomes the record of the sale.

You can alter your labels during the meet if not sold but let us know you're doing it

Hope that's OK

I have attached in Word and PDF

Cheers

I am, however, inclined to adopt the RWB approach for Golborne, as it seems like a more efficient way of doing things.

The final catalogue and 20 additional photos are now on the BVWS website here https://www.bvws.org.uk/auctions/pho...ootton-bassett The new photos are the first 20 (up to lot 300, the Bestone mantle clock).

The catalogue is also attached. The only change is the final 20 lots added, so if you have already printed it before you only need to print and replace the last page.

I've never used the 'Bring and Buy' system before. Would it not be more aptly named 'Bring and Sell'? Anyway, I want to contribute a spare set on Sunday. A couple of questions if I may:

I want all the proceeds from the sale to go to the BVWTM (Dulwich). Is this distinct from it going to the BVWS?

To arrange this, do I just declare 'BVWTM' as vendor on the form?

Thanks,

Steve

Yes if you put that on the label we can separate the donation when we hand the money over to the treasurer.

Cheers

Totally gutted!
Yesterday the car was towed in by the RAC.
Although they got it going they advised me to get it to a garage as multiple problems showed up so alas I wont be risking it today.
Oh well at least her indoors won't be moaning about all the "junk" I drag in.

A good day first time at WB bought odd valve bases for project, thanks to the guy for the 16mm films. Time to dust off the TQ1.

It was a grand day out, I shifted most of my bring and buy and only succumbed to a CD player which is belting out Christmas organ music as I write (with the help of a Toshiba SB66 Aurex beast).

A few orphans snuck in from the auction but I could afford a rather sad early French tranny though not the pretty little Ducretet Thomson miniature valve set. Drooled over the ATM SW tuner as did many others. Bargain of the day I reckon was the Tek475 for a tenner!

Good chats with several acquaintances, possibly as much about my mode of transport as vintage electronics and tea and sandwiches were consumed in suitable quantities.

I was intrigued to note that a Marconi 702 pre-war TV sneaked ever so quietly into the auction list at the last minute!

It sneaked off again for £4500.

Had a great day yesterday and thanks to all who supported the Bring and Buy.

There were certainly some interesting items.

Looking forward to the Special auction early next year.

Cheers

Chris, I agree re the Tek 'scope ... gosh, was I tempted However, lack of BVWS bidding form (non-member) plus self-discipline (spurred on by lack of dosh/storage space/abject terror of 'er indoors) over-ruled my heart
Glad the CD player has found a good home ... and the Land Rover is *awesome* !
Cheers

I came away with a nice Hacker RP25. I've heard great things about these sets here but have no experience of working on them, so I may be later coming cap-in-hand to this forum for advice...

Guy/Nymrod121, nice to put a face to your name (which, since I had actually met you before I shouldn't have needed to do!) and chat about your BBC Engineering days.

Thanks to all the very hard-working team - auction, kitchen and Bring & Buy, for making RWB such a superb pre-Christmas treat for us all. Including a chance to see rare goodies in the auction.
Mince pie was especially welcome!

.....indeed, a great event, as usual. Thank you to all involved.

Mike’s skilful auction ‘banter’ had me bidding for and winning a ‘Marconi’ wristwatch. Why? I don’t really know .

I don’t collect watches, nor do I wear one. Oh well...🙄

I had an enjoyable morning meeting up with everyone and having a few coffees and a delicious bacon and egg sandwich. Sadly I could not stay for the auction but am looking forward to the auction results. I heard a pre war Marconi TV went for a good price.
