Suitable substitute for AC064
Does anyone have any idea what a suitable and more importantly available substitute would be for this valve information on it seems impossible to find other than Mullard produced it and a company called 66 did an almost equivalent .

Re: Suitable substitute for AC064
I have a 1929 set with one of these and it works but is slightly low emissions. A few years later and pentodes were the craze.
I would try any of the 4V 1A pentodes wired in triode mode, AC/PEN, MPT4, MKT4... |

Re: Suitable substitute for AC064
If you can get one, an "AC044" or a "PX4" would substitute but you would need to alter the negative grid bias voltage, as they are not a direct equivalent to the AC064.
