Good afternoon again Mike.
That is certainly some meterfest.
Could I ask for a couple more please....post 17...picture 3...2 x square 4 hole meters directly above the thermo ammeter.
Thanks again,
David

Hi Colin

I assume this is the two Elliot meters?

The micro-ammeter seems to work but the one scale in milliamps not.

Might be worth seeing if the problem is minor or not

Anyway currently both put aside for you.

Cheers

Yes, would make a good end-of-year quiz, and there's probably enough eclectic knowledge on the forum for a tidy full house! I thought the Ernest Turner 200uA job might have been an ex-RA17 candidate too, ISTR they did something quite simple like monitoring envelope detector current, rather than the frequent co-opting of an AGC'd IF valve as a sort of VVM,

Hi Mike, I don't want the meters. I just thought that identifying them might help them get to the right home.

Hi Colin, Yes the RA17 has metering switched between the IF detector current or the audio output voltage. Neither has the dynamic range of an S-meter. The switch is a toggle. The better the AGC does, the less variation you see on the meter!

The RA117 has a rotary switch and a third position giving a normal S-meter function by metering the current in an AGC controlled stage as is routine.

I think 200uA is the right sensitivity and that bezel shape is part of the RA17 product design and matches the little speaker.

Hi Mike
I need four meters for a club project ( power triode test rig)

0-10 volts meter, a meter to read 5 amps, a 300 milliamp meter and a meter to read up to 50 volts, anything near that would be great, if you have any left.
thanks MM0HDW

Hi Mike,
I would like the meter marked NC, the German Netzspannung ?

one and the grey one if still available, if you could bring to RWB, I am also after an Ernest Turner meter 3" square 250uA for a GPO interference monitoring radio (pictures of some scales unclear).
Thanks, Mike.

Hi Mike, don't suppose you have a meter like this one here - http://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/s...d.php?t=140585 ? Bit tricky to see from your pics. Meter dia 2 1/2" 50uA to 100uA.

Am happy to take what's left after other folk's specific want's to save you going through them all.

Andy.

Hi Mike
If the STC edge meter in post #12 is still available, I would like to add it to my museum.
Thanks

Hi Colin Turretslug. hope you don,t mind me asking when you get the above and you have looked at it, is there any chance you could do a scan of the dial face for me I have been looking for this for a while it was made by Q-Max for Berry,s S.W.ltd High Holborn WC1 and was fitted to the AR88 complete with a backplate.
I have the meter and backplate but not the correct dial. thanks gezza123

Do I spy one of those edge-on battery/record level meters?

I could make use of those!
