Hi Peoples,

We have the hall from first light this time as there are no other functions occurring or pre booked prior to ours.
I know there's fewer people this time so in theory less to set up but we should get more time to play.I'm angling at being there around 08:30
Thanks

Chris

Great idea! Do people tend to bring new projects, or ones they're temporarily at a crux with? Is this a long-established tradition?

This is the third workshop - there is a mixture of things that appear - in the main the stuff we see is fresh on the bench, however, there have been a number of long standing faults that have been looked into.

Its really a social event with some radio repairs thrown in - normally at least 20+ sets leave in a better condition than when they arrive.

Hi Folks

Looks like I'll have to bring an AR88 this time.

What might others be bringing?

I'm planning on bringing a Pye T19 at the moment. I'll also be bringing an AVO Portable Signal Generator No.2 for a second opinion as I don't think it's doing much.

I'm sure they'll be a couple more to bring that I haven't even bought yet!

Sean,

I'd like to join in the workshop if you can accomodate another attendee?

Hello Sean, do you ever run workshops that run to two days rather than one? if you did it maybe worth some of the more distant members to come up / down and stop over (B & B Travelodge etc)

Lawrence.

Hi Lawrence, I had considered it, but the cost implications are high, and makes a 2 day event expensive....

However, I know that Mark the Mender and Steve P have stayed in Stevenage the night before.....

You could then tie up with a visit to the IWM at Duxford, or Bletchley Park - both about 45 mins from Stevenage.....

That being said, if there is sufficient interest, then i will happily run a two day event - Numbers would have to be set in concrete, and any extra costs would be shared equally between us all....

Let me know!
