Bush TV33 at Cockermouth auction
In case it's of interest, I note that there is a Bush TV33 television up for sale (lot 566) at Mitchell's Auction in Cockermouth this Thursday, estimated at £15-£25, though that may bear no relationship to the final hammer price. There is also a GEC televison at lot 634 (next page, same estimate).
Although online bidding is available at these sales, there is an extra 4.95%+VAT surcharge for this on top of the 20%+VAT premium. VAT is not charged on the hammer price. It is probably better to leave a bid by telephone to avoid the surcharge. I believe live telephone bidding is also available, though I'm not sure whether there is a surcharge for this.

Re: Bush TV33 at Cockermouth auction
Having viewed it this afternoon, it is a model BT1155. The rear panel has lost the hump over the end of the CRT, and the innards appear to have about ¼" of dust and fluff on them.

The auction has now happened. The TV33 sold for £32.

Re: Bush TV33 at Cockermouth auction
No, I didn't bid on the GEC - and forgot to ask what it went for.
I was outbid on the Bush - which is probably just as well, because I now don't have to find space for it!
