Hi, just wanted to add that if anyone wants 150 and/or 200W bulbs picking up for lamp limiters please let me know, I can get some from the local Aladdin's cave. When I bought some a month or so back I think they were £1.50 each, might have gone up now but I'm going round to check in a bit to see what they have in stock. They did have plenty of 200W lamps in the back. Please state cap type (ES/BC), wattage & quantity needed. I'll pick them up on Saturday afternoon so will need to know numbers by about 3ish.

Cheers,
Brian

Hi Brian,
Thanks for the offer but I'm ok for lightbulbs as I have a few 100watters left.

I'm bringing along a Ferguson 208UL just in case the Champion proves to be too much and a non starter given that it needs to have the autotransformer installed.

Sean - what time is this starting and will you be posting details how to get to the venue although I'm 99% sure where the venue is having lived in Baldock for many years

Regards

Rob

For sat-nav SG9 9QW will get you close.

See attached screenshot from Google Maps with Streetview. The red (A) in the map bottom right is the postcode and the little man is where the hall is, about 100 metres further east.

Hi W'shoppers

Official start time and access to the main hall is at 11.00hrs as
there is a kiddies softball function on until this time.
For those travelling longer distance and unsure of exact arrival time I have arranged access to a meeting room adjacent to the main hall from 9.00/9.30. this will allow off loading of equipment for those who arrive early and to reduce the number of people unloading at the same time.
Coffee and biscuits will be on hand.
An earlier link by me addresses the directions question, but paul has kindly added these to save me working out how to add a link back to my earlier thread.

I am bringing a friend (another Paul) who Sean knows about, but because of the distance we are unlikely to be there right for the start, though we should be there before midday.

I don't know what time the workshop goes on to but we'll need to leave around 5pm.

We have booked the hall till late (around 8pm!) - so no need to rush!

Should be good fun though!

Likewise if I'm to be allowed out next weekend (Harpenden), and possibly the weekend after too (Wood Green Animal Sanctuary).
Sean, if you could keep hold of the cables till I see you next (Stockwood Park?), I'd be most grateful.
Rob.

Hi All,
I'm packing my stuff now and think that got all but the kitchen sink which reminds me of camping on my motorbike years ago - far too much taken! I've also thought - shall I bring my smallest oscilloscope, signal generator, workbench.....where does it end!

Does anyone else have the same problem?

Rob

I've had to limit it to what can go in my hatchback with the seats up as I'm leaving the car in a public car park tomorrow night, so I am probably under equipped. I'm sure others will make up for any shortfall though!

See you all tomorrow.

I am aware of that Mark, but we've got a long drive tomorrow to pick the next vehicle up.
It's gonna be a day trip there and back so it looks as if I'm gonna miss it I'm afraid.

If someone reading this and attending has a bit of space, can you bring along a pack of A4 printer/copier paper please? I have a printer full and about three quarters of a pack but if there is a lot of service data printing needed that may not be enough (and nowhere is open to buy some now). Thanks.
