Default Heathkit SW717 manual

Hi there
has anyone a manual for the heathkit SW717 shortwave receiver. I have one that need aligning

Can either borrow it for return in a couple of days or a copy will do
all costs met

Thanks for the info...i am already joined to this fabulous site but the manual
shown is not thhe full manual with the setting up pages.. the full manual goes to 60 odd pages..

If all else fails, you can get one at this link for $26 - about £17. It's not available as a download - only a hard copy, and postage to the UK costs another $13 - about £8.00, so at £25 total, the manual will cost as much a the radio is probably worth, but I guess it depends on how much you cherish your radio:

I've never used this firm, but from what they say, their manuals are of good quality.

Hi Merv,

I understand that an American company has bought up the copyright
to all the Heathkit Manuals, and although they appear to be happy to
keep the schematics in the public domain, most of the manuals are no
longer available for free download. A quick look at mods.dk will confirm
this - in fact I'm a bit surprised to see any of them on there!

know what you mean David ..think its near enough but if the info was free so to speak i would have got it spot on .
