Re: Auction with vintage radios and TV's in November.
Does anyone know what the black book (lot No. 2) went for?

Re: Auction with vintage radios and TV's in November.
I guess some of us are used to BVWS suctions with no buyers premium or VAT etc. The hammer price is the price you pay.
However of course the BVWS is run by volunteers. If we were all paid even minimum wage for the hours we put in the society would have to charge more for commission and add a buyers premium. On the other hand the major auction houses have a much wider potential audience, viewing for a few days before and online bidding etc., so items probably fetch higher prices for the sellers. |
