Decca Compact 3 cartridge
Hi all
It's been a while since I gave record players much attention, but after a 5 year wait I've finally got my hands on the above system. They're my absolute favourite and this one is in very good condition. I know they're not the best performers but I'm not looking for that. It needs a little bit of electrical work to get it up to spec again but I can't fault it at all as it works well considering its niggling faults Does anyone know what cartridge it used? I want to change the needles but I can't find much information on that side of things and there doesn't look to be any markings. It's relatively thin in height and houses a flip over needle assembly. I don't think they used any decks, but mine uses a BSR C141, if it's worth mentioning. As an aside, are there any key components that need to go in these, even if from a preservation aspect, to protect other components? Thanks '77 |

Re: Decca Compact 3 cartridge
That looks like a BSR SC11M. Can you see the legend on the side of it?

Re: Decca Compact 3 cartridge
Thanks all for the replies. Having searched both the SC11M and the GP104 I think electrogram is right. There’s no legend on the side of the cart but the GP104 looks identical and a replacement needle assembly for sale is identical to the one I currently have fitted.
Thanks all ‘77 |

Re: Decca Compact 3 cartridge
That's an Acos GP104, not a BSR cart.
