Re: DAF 92 which sets used it
Very few if you check it on the radiomuseum site, and I suspect the 2 UK uses are not radios but direction finders.

Re: DAF 92 which sets used it
There doesn't seem to be a comprehensive data sheet for the DAF92 on the web but there is for the equivalent valve the 1U5.
You should be able to judge the suitability of the DAF91 as a substitute for your application by comparing the data for the DAF91 with that for the 1U5. |

Re: DAF 92. Which sets used it?
I have now installed a DAF91 ( only needed 3 pins changing on the valve base )
Works fine ! |

Re: DAF 92. Which sets used it?
Presumably that would have been built with the 1U5?

Re: DAF 92. Which sets used it?
Almost certainly, the 1U5 was an American valve, the DAF92 European.
A search on Radiomuseum for equipment using the 1U5 produced 500 results (the site's search result limit) of which 340 were manufactured in the USA. A similar search for the DAF92 produced only 4 results for the whole world! Only 2 were radio sets, the other 2 were direction finding receivers. |
