I actually have those documents saved on my computer (I probably copied them from that thread back in 2010) but I didn't think to look there.

I shall put that right now.

BTW I have just spotted an error in my post number 19 above.

"They apply to an equipotential cathode though".

Should read:

"They apply to a unipotential cathode though".

Pretty well.

I think equipotential specifically refers to points of equal potential like in those diagrams and unipotencial refers to an area of one potential like an indirectly heated cathode.

The point being that the former comes from comparison and the latter does not?
