Yeah Welcome emarald48! I saw your youtube a few weeks ago when I was looking at various bits after youtubing "405 line"

I remember 405 line very well as a kid, until about 1976, when we got a Peto-Scott colour dual standard set............didnt use the 405 after that! ianj

I was watching 405-line TV probably up until the early 1980s, until our old Stella (Philips) set finally gave up the ghost. I'd love one of those sets now, have spotted several on Fleabay but missed out on one which was fairly local to me by only a quid ..

.. but I do now have an identical aerial to the ones we used back then, spotted at the NVCF in its box! Shame the box isn't as pristine as the one in the loft at my childhood home, which I really should have rescued! (My mum had bought a new one, which was subsequently passed on to my Grandma when the Stella set was retired).

We did have a dual-standard set after that, which I hope someone can identify from my vague recollection which I'll post elsewhere.

As for the YouTube posting, I am sure it will help to encourage more people to have a go at getting these lovely old sets working again - what a result!
