Smile History of Compact cassettes - film

Discovered this film on Amazon but it's also on Youtube...
CASSETTE : A DOCUMENTARY MIXTAPE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIuirfEIJr8

Had no idea there was a following again for cassette tapes but apparently some groups are recording their music on them and some shops, mostly in the States have a rack of them available. There are also companies producing them commercially as well. Some interesting clips of inside the factories as well as interviews with it's inventor.

Some of the portable Sony players are fetching silly money on ebay, early ones up to £400 (in completed listings), later ones from £20 upwards.

Well worth watching.

Mike.
