Default Bush TV22 I've done something wrong.

This entirely of my own doing but I need some help. My TV22 has the EF91 receiver not the EF80 type and the main deck has the width control that slides along the edge of the chassis rather than in a slot judging by the caps it dates form 1950 or 51 and has the Mullard CRT. I had replaced some resistors and all the caps on the frame board to get the set working however the tag board under the main deck had a physically leaking 2uf electrolytic and some not very pleasant looking waxies so like an idiot I waded in replaced the 2uf with a non polarised 2.2uf replaced the 0.002uf the 0.01uf the 0.1uf on getting it all back together absolutely diddly squat happening on the screen therefore HELP !!

As an add on to that I have another derelict TV22 with the other type EF80 chassis attempts to use this as a pattern to check wiring have been somewhat fruitless as the board seems to be connected differently.

2uF non ploarised should possibly be ok. If I can find the circuit I could scan it for you also pretty sure one of mine uses EF9's.

Found my EF91 TV22.

I used non-polarised 2u2 in mine because I wasn't sure if modern electrolytics could take the ripple current, it works fine.

Much more likely that you've made a wiring error, triple check your work. Do you have any before and after photos?

I think I might have it hold on.

Richard in your pic the transformer mounted on the side of the chassis above the lopt and the 16uf electrolytic where does the wire on the front ( tube side ) of that connect to is it the lopt and then the middle of the tag board ?

Apologies if im sounding slightly thick out WIFI is out so o cant grab the schematic on the pc and I'm having to use a windows phone which isn't pleasant.

I think that's right. I can't be 100% sure but these photos are the best I've got at the moment. I took a lot of "before" snaps when I restored my TV22.

From what I can see on here L4 should link to the Lopt and c24 it appears that previous repairer has done a bit of dodgy soldering and that's fell off

I wouldn't recommend "guessing" where a stray wire goes to. Unless it's completely obvious you need to check against the circuit. You are in the HT distribution area of the set.

Replace the components again, one at a time, testing after changing each one.
