New JVC VCR in my collection
Hello. It's been a long time since I posted here. Well, today I got a JVC HR-D110EG (Ferguson 3V38) for 15 euro and the seller claimed it didn't work and sold it for parts. Got it home, plugged it in, and surprisingly enough, everything works! The cassette carriage is smooth, FF/REW work great and the picture is perfect on both PAL and SECAM and very noise-free pause for a 2 head VCR. Just a little bit of cleaning and lubrication and this machine will be good to go.

Very good picture for a parts machine!

Nice find! I have the Ferguson and ITT version of this machine. A belt kit and anfreshen up of the idlers should see years more life in it.

'Not working' might occasionally translate as 'chewed up a tape once and i don't trust it not to do it again' ....So maybe don't use your valued tapes in it for a few days! But it's nice that the seller is being honest.

It doesn't chew up tapes. I tested recording yesterday and the picture is excellent. I opened it up to check the inside and it's very clean and dust-free!
