They're got a pair of those 'demo' educational sound mirrors or parabolic reflectors at Jodrell Bank. Great fun, though in this case used to illustrate how the radio telescope works.

Also comprehensively covered in the first chapter of Colin Dobinson's 'Building Radar' (ISBN 978-0-413-77229-9): a book which has been discussed on this forum before.

I remember being there once when a party of scouts decided to give it a try, which went well until one of them thought it was good to shout some four letter words into it, & they were quickly herded away!
