Default Dunstable Downs Radio Club Car boot

Hi All

Just a reminder that this annual rummage is on again on Sunday 20th at Stockwood Park in Luton, Bedfordshire....about 2 mins from J10 M1. No affiliation but it's 5 mins from me and for anyone reasonably local it's usually well worth a visit. Weather looks good too this year!

Hopefully I will get there, Really good for valves and parts.

Couldn't beat a large mercury vapour rectifier I bought last year with a label on the (not original box) saying "SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE"

Been going for several years and always a good hunting ground for projects and restorations as well as old test equipment. The weather always seems to be good.

Fingers crossed - the forecast is here:

I'll probably be there, wearing a white hat and a green VMARS badge. And maybe with a stall of miscellaneous bits and pieces, if I can find the time to clear out another cupboard!

Really annoyed as I can't get there on Sunday due to a double booking. That's three years in a row now I've missed it. Grr!

I should also be there, been going for very many years, .... remember when they had the skip and at the end of the day lots of people would be inside it scavenging!

They do tend to leave tickets right to the last minute - I've decided to pay on the day.

I will be there with a stall or two - I seem to have a lot of stuff this year.....

One stall had boxes and boxes of Maplin bits, still in their original bags. Most items were cheaper than they are in the current Maplin closing down sale.

Good day out and chance to meet up with member Bill Knox.

I met Bill too and bought a heavy duty avometer off him in lovely condition.

Ah, yes, that would have been me - I didn't have a badge on so was fairly unidentifiable

Cheers
