Default SONY EV-A200 fast rewind with image goes wrong

Hi, I have a Sony EV-A200, it does everything perfectly, only fast rewind, with image. that doesn't go well. the video head also stops rotating, as if underpowered, during that function. the tape is not too tight. quickly back without image works fine. Could this error be in the power supply? Or has anyone had this too? greetings rob

From memory check the reel tables etc, sounds like too much reel torque during search mode, wouldn't suspect psu fault, also be sure that all of the guide posts and drum ruler edge are clean and oxide free.
Greg.
