Default ***** words.

Writing a reply earlier I used the word p o o f and was amazed to see it **** out, odd. The sentance was something like "you refit the IC and it p o o f,another dead IC" Implying an explosion, an escape of smoke. Why?

Andy.

Default Re: ***** words.

It's a homophobic word and in the past has been used by a forum member to verbally abuse a moderator.

The forum uses a blacklist of words which are problematic so automatically censored. It's a simple algorithm and does sometimes produce unwanted effects. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scunthorpe_problem.
