Default Telefunken end of 50's TV capacitors question

Hi all,

I got a Telefunken vintage TV and I came across with more than 50 capacitors in it (not counting disk caps).

Question is, as I am not familiar with European caps, do all of them have to go?

There are several different types:

Disc and tubular ones around IF section: they stay
Electrolitics: all need to be replaced
Gray japanese ones: all need to be replaced
Brown candy-like brown shiny ones: I don't know
Tubular brown ones: I don't know

Could you please advice about the last two ones?

In the pictures you can see them

Thanks a lot.

A lot of the light brown 'Ero' caps appear to be loosing their end seals, so will need replacing. The dark 'Wima' ones if cracked will need to be replaced. The light brown polyester caps are probably OK even some of the electrolytics may have survived. Best is to test anything that you are unhappy with and go from there.

The other option is change the lot but that will incurr a fair bit of expense. I would also be concerned about the carbonised burn up in picture 2.

Just my thoughts.

Even though the Wima Tropydur capacitors may not be cracked it is my experience that they're still bad, maybe because they're still able to absorb moisture over time. Definitely not a good capacitor.
Once reformed slowly by an increasing AC voltage, the large filter capacitors may be just fine, so I'd be hesitant to just replace them. Unless they have physical signs of problems.

Looks like CRT is AW43-88? Looks like a nice set, from the little I can see
