Default What would happen if I made an MW pantry TX aerial like this ?

Basically , for use around 1.5MHz, an antenna made of say 4 metres of coax but with the Earth braid outer swapped ... outer braid to the load and the core as ground , then the termination connected with a 50R resistor.

?

It would radiate a weeny bit, most of the power would be dissipated in the 50 ohm resistor.

Hi Al, and you might get a lobe from your 50R depending on its type and if screened.
