The Literature of Intelligence: a Bibliography of Materials, ...
I could not find a reference in the archives to this web site assembled by J. Ransom Clark of Muskingum University in Ohio. Please see http://intellit.muskingum.edu/
The number of references is bewildering. I do note that when it comes to British intelligence in WW2, Ransom Clark states that Hinsley's Official history of British Intelligence in World War II is the place to start. See: http://intellit.muskingum.edu/uk_fol...oviewstoc.html I have read the one volume abridged version, which deals with what was know and how it was used. It was fascinating and largely impersonal. I understand that for the details of how intelligence was gathered and how the intelligence services were organised, one needs to read the main work. 73 John |
