Default Sanyo betamax VTC 930 PN

Hi having trouble with picture played a borrowed tape a while ago had picture and sound now have tried to play another tape sound is good but just lines on screen have cleaned heads but no change any thoughts or does it sound like heads are knackered any help would be appreciated thanks .

Keep cleaning the heads- some dirt can be stubborn. If you're careful and only clean in a horizontal direction no harm should come to the heads. As it's a Bets it's often easier to hold the cloth or card still and rotate the head disc by hand.

Thanks Welsh think the last tape I played wasn't in the best condition will do as you suggested thanks for help.

if cleaning with ipa and the chamios sticks does,nt work [horizontal movement as glyn says] last resort you can use a piece of old news paper horizontal of course
