These switch rotors appeared in a post in the wanted section recently.
The OP got his contact disk and is probably fixing his generator now. Does anyone have the dimensions of the metal contacts which become detached and get lost please? I would like to think on the possibility of making replacements. Thanks in advance. |

Not the best pictures but hopefully will give you an idea of how small the contacts are.
The same contact is used for the slide switches first introduced with the HP 8717A (see journal Jan 1969 page 13, the contacts in question are described as Palaney slide contacts). David Last edited by factory; 30th Nov 2020 at 2:46 pm. |

Very kind of you to supply those pictures David.
I will work on it. Should be enough to work out what size cutter would be required. The Palaney info might be worth a search too. (Now I have done that I can see these probably turn up everywhere. I suppose the good news is they could be harvested from the more unpopular types of gear but that would still be a pity.) Many thanks! Last edited by Jon_G4MDC; 30th Nov 2020 at 6:03 pm. |
