Default Moon rock to the White House

Hopefully avoiding politics, but merely an interesting technology note, it seems that President Biden asked NASA to supply a suitable sample of Moon rock to put on display in the Oval Office https://www.cnet.com/news/nasa-lends...CAD-09-10aai5b.

Additionally, he asked for a portrait of Benjamin Franklin. It's been quite some time since there's been a President with much real interest in science and technology.

It won't do any harm, perhaps some good.

Well from reports..... the good ol US of A are resurrecting their semiconductor manufacturing industries, which were mothballed and had their semi's made at foundries outside the Usa, mind you it was the previous administration that started that, lets hope it keeps going.

Shades of 'Don't buy what you can make'.
We used to laugh at that 'outmoded' concept...
