GPO 746 dial-centre label cover?
Hello guys and girls, this is my first post so….HELLO!
Just wondering if anyone can help, I recently got a Red GPO 746 (my first vintage phone so please excuse my ignorance on the subject). I’m sure as a child I remember a plastic label cover that fit inside the Finger Plates…is this the case and if so can anyone recommend where I could get hold of one? My one just has no form off cover and a exposed screw as in the photo bellow http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...terror/gpo.jpg kind regards Brook |

Re: GPO 746 dial-centre label cover?
Hi Brook,
I would suggest Telephone Lines in Cheltenham (they can also supply the number discs) Failing that, why not attend the NVCF at Warwick next weekend - there will be a goodly number of stalls flogging telephones. Cheers Sean

Re: GPO 746 dial-centre label cover?
Thank you for the recommendations Sean.
Warwick is a little far for me to travel but will keep it in mind for next year Managed to find a replica part from abdyantiques.co.uk for £1 that should tide me over till I get my grubby hands on an original. http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...terror/b_2.jpg |
