Default Chilton 100S meter calibration

Attempting to set up the meter gain/calibration.

The circuit/manual I have (Mk 3) shows 3 presets per channel on the PPM meter board, 1 for gain and 2 for calibration. My machine has only two presets in total, one for each channel.
The Mk 3 manual says inject 1khz at various levels whilst adjusting the 3 presets in sequence; obviously I can't do this with just the 2 presets.

Seems mine is an earlier version. Any suggestions welcome.
