The clip in the original post seems more like a vector display being driven very creatively by carefully generated waveforms than traditional lissajous figures but it sure is clever and sounds/looks good!

That's a shame, John. It's absolutely obligatory to have an impressively large oscilloscope showing a Lissajous pattern as part of the controls for any time machine/positronic ray/atonic rocket.

You can't save (or threaten) a futuristic heroine without one.
