Default Bush restoration project

Hello
I have an old wooden Bush wireless set (model AC11)that I would like to give away to someone who can hopefully restore it. I am now almost 60 years old and this set belonged to my grandfather. I can remember it playing in his house when I was a child. I have been carrying this set from one house to the next for nearly 30 years and I have finally realised that I an not going to do anything useful with it. So I will give it away to anyone who can collect it and will promise to make some attempt at restoration. All I ask is a photo of the completed project (or let me know that it is beyond repair). This is for collection only- I live in North Tyneside.
Thanks

Be even nicer if whoever had it from you could do the restoration on the forum. Lets hope none of the dealers on here get their hands on it.

Hi Barry, if you have kept it this long why not do the cabinet up in memory of your grandfather.
They were a fairly simple set and I could do the electronics for you when the lockdown is over

Cheers, Ed

Yeah, I'd suggest as offered above. Give the case a clean and polish, get someone local to sort out the electronics, and then use and enjoy it.

It'll be worth much more to you as a bit of history than it would to anyone looking to sell it on.

To be frank, although it's a nice enough set, they are fairly common so financially it's probably worth only around 10 to 20 or thereabouts, so don't sweat the financial side of it.

Cheers,
Colin
