Default Two 'pay as you go' mobile phones

I hope it's permissible to list these, but I'll leave that to the judgement of the moderators.

Until recently, my wife and I have each had basic 'pay as you go' phones, which we've made little use of. However, we've recently bought a smartphone each on contract.
Hence, the 'pay as you go' phones are surplus to requirements and it seems a shame to just bin them if anyone just wants a phone for occasional use or for emergencies.

The first one is a 'SAGEM' VS1, which was exclusive to Vodaphone.

It's just a basic phone and doesn't have a camera or Bluetooth connectivity. To activate it would require a Vodaphone 'pay as you go' SIM, but I think it could probably be unlocked for use with other service provider SIMs. You can send texts with it, but it's a pain because the letters are on the number pad. Hence, number 2 is ABC so to type 'C' would mean having to press the '2' key three times. The battery is good and it comes with the charger and instructions.

I don't want anything for it, just 3.00 to cover postage.

The second one is a NOKIA 'ASHA' 201, just over five years old. It has a 2MP camera and Bluetooth connectivity. It has a QWERTY keyboard, with the number keys doubling for letters. It's been used with an 02 'pay as you go' SIM, so may be locked to 02 and would need an 02 payg SIM, but I think it could probably be unlocked if it's desired to use an alternative service provider. The battery is good, and it comes with the charger, instructions, and a pouch in which to keep it.

I'd like 5.00 for this phone, plus 3.00 post.

No hat - first come first served, but I don't expect to be overwhelmed by the response!

Thanks for your interest in the Nokia HamishBoxer - it's yours.

I'll reply to your PM.

The SAGEM is still available.

Just bumping this to say that to date, there's been no interest in the Sagem phone in pic 1 above.

As stated, it's just a basic pay as you go mobile phone but it works fine.

I'd reiterate that it's free, just 3.00 for P&P via My Hermes.

A shame to bin it, but if no-one wishes to claim it by this Sunday, as the French would say, I'll 'jeter dans la poubelle'.

Anyone wish to claim it please before the deed is done?

Hi David,

I could make use of the Sagem if no one else wants it.

Just a footnote - surplus phones can always double as remote controls for various purposes; use the ring signal (directly or indirectly) to trigger whatever it is you want controlled when the number is dialled. Jus ensure that it's used occasionally to keep the SIM active.
