Hi Keith,

Thanks for your input.

I guess at this period in time one of the main commercial purposes of this set was to sell batteries for Vidor. Hence I suspect your grandmother was contributing to the company's profitability!

With regards to the battery pack I'm not too fussy as long as it works. If space is an issue I don't mind having an external trailing lead to connect to a battery pack outside of the case. That said I have downloaded the scans of the Vidor battery pack!

I'm looking to build a battery as well but the scan on the radiomuseum site is not very clear. Does anybody know of better scans? The ER equivalent is a B148 or a GEC BB548. There may be others from different manufacturers.
