I am after 1 or 2 20-pin 0.3" dil logic clips.
I am having an "interesting" time bringing a 1980 HP X-Y plotter back to life. I'm close - it's definitely failing self-test somewhere in the GPIB/HPIB section. But that section is all standard TTL (38 ICs, not a nice single LSI chip) and the bus driver chips I am trying to probe with the logic analyser are 20-pin LS240/241s. My nice gold-plated 16-pin DIL clips are not long enough to get all data lines and the ground and strobe at the same time. The clips I am searching for have round pins to take the probes from the analyser. Some other clips have "nail head" pins which work well with clips but wont work for me, unfortunately. So if anyone does have any spare 20-pin dil test clips like these or similar, I am happy to pay your price. https://warwickts.com/2084/900737-20...e-DIL-03-Steel Thanks Jeremy

Since it's unlikely to be very fast, so stray capacitance is not a major problem, could you solder a couple of 10-pin SIL header strips to the 'nail head' pins to allow you to put you logic analyser leads onto them?

Good suggestion.
I could bodge this up, but since the logic analyser leads fit so nicely over clip pins, and I don't have a suitable "nail head" donor, I'll wait a bit and see what the folk here can dredge up. If I can't make good progress with this device, I may need some Duell magic to help! The self test routine is not documented so I am having to sniff the "ttl bus" to see what's being sent to and from the HPIB section that is reporting a failure. I'll start another thread on this rather than clog this wanted thread. all best Jeremy

I have now been lent a 20-pin clip (thank you OldTestGear).
If anyone does have a clip they would like to pass on, I am still interested in one to use longer-term. Thanks -Jeremy
