Default Record player from Birmingham to Yorkshire

Is there a possibility of anyone travelling between Birmingham and N.Yorks picking up a record deck from a forum member?Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mick,
Assuming it's the Pye BB & also assuming Courtney Louise could bring it to me, I could get it as far as Manchester if someone there could accommodate and/or ship onwards (timescale sometime between now and early February) - ?
Best wishes
Guy

I could hold it in Manchester for a bit, if that were useful.

Many thanks to both responders.I'll now get in touch with Courtney to see what can be done.

Luckily I checked the distance between Worcester and Birmingham before I pushed "send".Whilst I am very grateful for the offer I feel it would be expecting too much of Courtenay to take an item he was giving away almost 40 miles to hand it over.

If these arrangements fall through I could pick it up next time we're in Birmingham and bring it over with the amp and tape decks once they're sorted out. The problem is I'm not sure when we're next in Birmingham, it could be 2-3 months time. Also storage space is a bit limited here due to ongoing building work so I'd have to pick it up shortly before coming over to Scarborough.

Hi Keith happy new year. That would actually be better for me.Have been racking my brain over how to get it here from Manchester(as was offered by another member).Of course it would hinge on Guy being able to store it until then.I'll try and summon the courage(and cheek) to ask him.Keith you mentioned amp and decks. If you remember I said you could do what you wish with the revox and tandbergs.I have a couple of items for your attention when time allows.

That's OK Mick. I've dropped a few things off at Courtneys house so it's not too much of a diversion. If he's OK to hold on to it for a month or two I should be able to pick it up. Ok about the Tandbergs and Revox. I've had a break from fixing over Christmas but will try to get the amp and Teac sorted next.

Courtney
I'll be in touch when I know when we'll next be down in Birmingham. It'll be a month or two as we only visited a couple of weeks ago.
