Default September Harpenden. Bring & buy etc

Harpenden is only just over 3 weeks away. I haven't managed to do anything for "Talking about Wireless" this time. I'm willing to help with a bring and buy - organise it if necessary - and hope that a few of you will be able to help too.

Also time to make those lists of who is bringing stuff for whom, collecting other stuff and arranging the services of the forum courier service.

I'll probably be going, now I have been officially told that I am allowed to propel my horseless carriages again, so if anyone wants me to take anything down there or bring something back, it's a possibility.
Not 100% definite as I have a lot to do in the next few weekends.

Sean
If they are boxed, and I actually go (will let you know a week or so before) and Kat can collect them within a few days from me, I feel a touch of obligation coming on ...

If Mike does not go, then I'll take them to Bolton and someone can pick them up from here.

Cheers,

A quick résumé on the takes and brings:

Taking TVEtte bits from KeithW for TVDen

Returning with:
Organ for Tez from Jeffrey
CRTs for Kat from Sean
Grundig TRs for Andrew from
Radio and sig gen for Colin from Alan

If I have forgotten anything, speak now or forever hold etc ....

Any items that I am taking or returning with, you will need to contact me there; I will probably be there about 10:30 and will be making tracks home at 14:00-ish.

Whatever I am taking back home, unless otherwise arranged, will need to be out of the way before Wednesday, as I am short of room and larger items will be left in my car, and I need it for work!

Thanks, and see you all there.

Would it be possible for me to pick them up from one of you at the event in Sale on 28-10-2007, please?

If not, maybe Mike Barker could collect them at Harpenden and bring them to Sale for you?

Hi!

Do you need to be an official member of anything to visit next Sunday's do at Harpenden or can anyone visit for a look round? I'd like a look round myself!

Can someone post details of where its held for me please?

Many thanks,

You need to be a member of the BVWS, though you can join on the day.

Membership years follow calendar years so you would be joining quite late in the year. You would get the bulletins issued so far this year plus the other bits and pieces that new members get.

Details of membership fees and directions to Harpenden etc are on www.bvws.org.uk. You could give the membership secretary a call (during daytime hours, number is on the website) if you want to clarify anything.

Hello

I was wondering whether there was any possibility of somebody transporting a 1930s Ferranti radio that belongs to Jon Evans (Duke Nukem) from Harpenden to Oxford (or somewhere fairly near) for me?

I'd be more than happy to pay anyone who volunteers £15-£20 for their trouble - I suppose that's what somebody like ParcelForce would charge to ship it.

Please send me a PM if you're able to oblige.

Cheers,
Nick.
