Radios in Whitby North Yorks.
I saw these in a junk type shop in Whitby. I was tempted with the Roberts which I hadn't seen previously. I though they were reasonably priced. The Roberts was slim.

Re: Whitby North Yorks
Reasonable prices.
When there's valve stuff often the proprietors of establishment think they have a gold-mine on their hands. They don't like to be informed that it is actually worth a lot less than they think because the price they had in mind was that for a professionally restored set. |

Re: Whitby North Yorks
Can anyone identify the Roberts. It had a central tuning slow motion pointer tuning with LW-off-MW on he left and volume on the right as per r300 but was much slimmer than others I have seen. Couldn't find a model number. The others were Murphy and I think HMV. I hoped the photos would be clearer so didn't note them down.

Re: Radios in Whitby North Yorks.
Roberts is probably RIC1.
Murphy is B837. HMV depends on if it is a sw or fm version. |

Pretty sure the HMV was FM.
I have just looked and think the Roberts was an R303. I had a RIC 1 and I don't think it was one. |
