Some of Russia TXs still on St Petersburg and Globokoye I see most days at carrier level or MS pings I did see Moldova at carrier level a few weeks ago.

It is difficult trying to ID carriers as we don't which are on or off unless it's the two mentioned above and of course this Es season has been very weak so far this season.

It must a logistical nightmare DSOing a continent like Russia due to it's size I suppose and not much info as to when they will go off so keep looking.

R1 TV video carrier detected this morning.

Time: 10:30 to 11:00 AM BST.
Level: v. weak - scanner only level - too much local interference for any picture to be seen.
Sound: possibly, but only by using NFM receive mode on the sound carrier freq.

Offset: 0 offset.

Source: No idea !

Will the switch off of Russian analogue also be the end of SECAM?

Interesting Andy - I must admit I'm not sure whether I tried listening on +ve offset. Previous reception on R1 for me has all been 0 or -ve offset.

Switched on the scanner receiver at 9:15 AM BST.

Strong R1 vision carrier, no heterodyning so I don't think there was another present within my receiver bandpass. Sync bars were visible through the local interference on a TV. Scanner level R1 sound was present - spoken Russian.

Nothing on R2.

The R1 signal fluctuated in the typical SpE manner and was still present when I stopped listening at about 9:45 AM BST.

Turned on at 10:55 AM BST.

R1 video carrier present (0 offset) and occasional R1 sound (Russian). Not strong enough to be seen on a TV.

Turned on at about 9:15 AM BST.

R1 video carrier weakly present - it grew in strength over time for a while, but had faded away by about 9:30 AM. R1 Sound just detectable but only on Narrow Band receiver mode.

I was monitoring R1 from about 10am yesterday. I think I saw something trying to break through between 8pm and 9pm but whatever it was just did not make it.

Perhaps surprisingly we have 73 Russian members, although only 7 have been active this year. Perhaps one of them would be able to update us?

Turned on at 10:00 AM BST and was rather surprised to pick up an R1 vision carrier, having heard nothing for a few weeks. The signal lasted for a few minutes.
