Default Vintage Osram Photo Cell

Just been given this ancient photo cell. 2" Dia, approx. 4" x 3" overall size.
It has 1365 printed on it.
I've checked "Search", and the Museum sites - nowt.
Any help or advice most appreciated.

Regards, David

Are you sure that it is a photocell? It looks a little like a small X-ray tube to me.
Colin.

I just noticed that the title of this thread is stating that the device was made by Osram. You could do worse than to email Barry Vyse (look up Vyse Amps on the web). He was MD of M-OV at Hammersmith for some time. He might recognise the device.
Colin.
